"Let me start by saying thank you for giving me a healthy life back.  This may sound dramatic but I mean it.  For the past few years I have been under severe medical problems, open heart surgery (mitral valve replacement) and spinal surgery for a slipped disc (2008).  The spinal surgery pre and the post operation left me with horrific pain for four months.  Gradually I did start to get better.  It was a fight all the way, making one small step at a time.

This history is important because I am an active person and did not like to be sedentary as I was.  I enjoy working out at the gym and am a distance biker.  Not being able to do these activities made me frustrated and angry.  This past Spring I felt some discomfort in my lower and middle back.  I was so afraid this would lead to being inactive again.  I may have had to curtail my biking and I did not want to do that.

I decided to try chiropractic manipulation.  Boy, did I get lucky.  Going to AAC Family Wellness Center has changed my life.  Not only did Dr. Sarah find the problems by, greatly helped by eliminating any pain/discomfort I had.  The evening sessions [wellness modules] taught me about nutrition, exercise and healthy attitude.  Since going to AAC I have lost 15 pounds, lowered my cholesterol and diabetes numbers.

Most important, I have been taken off some of the pills I was taking “to be healthy.”  I now have biked 200 miles during July and 300 miles in August without pain.  This sport gives me the challenge to keep my body in shape.  Thank you all so much for giving me the opportunity to live a good life and I am not too old to begin again at 70."

"When my son was 2 yrs old my husband and I decided to try for a second child.  We had tried for a few months with no success.  I consulted my doctor and learned that I had endometriosis & ovarian cysts, which would rupture.  I was in terrible pain all the time & on many pain medications, which made it hard for me to function on a daily basis.  I decided to have surgery to remove some of the endometriosis, which was not my first choice, but at the time my only choice.  The other option my doctor urged me to do was get pregnant but due to the dysfunction of my ovaries, I was unable to release mature eggs.  I was at this point told after a year and a half that the only way I would ever have another child would be to go on fertility drugs. I was unwilling to chance the drugs & possible complications & multiple babies.  As heart breaking as it was, I finally came to terms with the fact that another baby was not in my cards.  God had decided that I would at least be blessed with one healthy child, my son Nathan.  In March 2002 I was offered a job at AAC & began my care as a patient as well.  Chiropractic helped me with many issues that I had dealt with my entire life, but nothing can ever explain my feelings of gratefulness, when 6 months later of chiropractic care I was pregnant.  I had a very healthy pregnancy and was so happy to have my baby girl Brooke Madison.  Now she will be 6 years old this year and I am eternally grateful to Dr. Q and Dr. D for my chiropractic miracle!!"

"I tore all the muscles in my lower back when I was 19; the doctor who treated me predicted that I would be in a wheelchair by the time I was 30 years old.  When I was 32, the pain had become intolerable and teh doctor had started talking surgery.  Although I had been raised to believe Chiropractors were 1 step below 'witch doctors' , I decided I would prefer to take my chances there than under the knife.  That was 30+ years ago and I have never regretted my decision."
